WELCOME TO COPENHAGEN by Lasse It's fair to say that Copenhagen is my home - I was born here, I grew up here, I did a lot of stuff for the first time in Copenhagen and I will probably always return to it. Copenhagen, or København as it is called in danish, is a constantly growing city, with something for every taste. Some say that danes are the happiest people in the world, and the city of Copenhagen might play a part in that - come and find out yourself. Here are some of my favourite spots in the urban beauty of Scandinavia. |

On Sunday 28th everyone will be tuned to follow the movie world's biggest night.
All of the Oscar nominees for 2016 have been revealed a few months ago. You can see the full list here but, let’s face it, there are some categories that we’re all a little more excited to see who is going to win, the ones that everyone talks about... And even though we haven’t all seen every movie, here is what some of our Boom Models think (or at least hope!). It’s that time of the year again: Milan Fashion Week is about to start and for all the beautiful top models it means 7 days spent on high-heels running all over the City.
We found the 6 best yoga spots, perfect to focus on personal well-being before the chaos of fashion begins. Useful not just for the week ahead, but for all the year-round. 1. CHRIS LEE / Pompei FOR THE MOST PRETENTIOUS - Seashore, art, historical cities and nature: for the most active backpackers Pompei is the ideal destination for this summer.
Throughout the centuries this area has been able to fascinate the visitors thanks to its environment where nature is largely left on its own, the impressive remains of the Pompei and Herculaneum towns, as well as for the breathtaking panoramic view on the bay of Naples. Delirum Rhum Club is a perfect exemplification of Pompei' soul: a cool club where you can have fun with your friends tasting refined rums during a live music show or just relax smoking cigars and reading a book from the library. Size the opportunity to explore the fascinating life of Audrey Hepburn (1929-1993) one of the most celebrated film star, fashion icon and humanitarian at London's National Portrait Gallery (2 July - 18 October 2015).
Rumors have run fast and now is about to start: the first-ever standalone menswear week in New York will take place from July 13 to 16 at Skylight Clarkson Square in Manhattan, following the other similar fashion events in London, Milan and Paris.
Not just an outward sign of patriotism - think to all the American designers sick and tired to cross the ocean to showcase their collections during the more established european dates - but also a way to underline the menswear's growing importance in the American Fashion industry, aside from the women's calendar. Supported by Amazon's fashion sites and Detroit-based leather goods company Shinola, the CFDA will present a mix of runway shows (double shot for CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION, already present in the Milan calendar), presentations and special events. However, changes in the sector bring old accusations back to life: the possibility to copy what designers had seen overseas and -perhaps more plausible - the financial and personal burden for international journalists and buyers to reschedule an extra trip to USA in July. Risky choice or good idea? Let's wait and see... |
